Major or minor SR rune (and other various questions)
Ok, im fairly new as a necro, and I plan to be an mm, and a ss necro ( i know, they are cookie cutter).
Next round of questions:
1.energy management on curses is it very hard?
2.What is so good about desecrate enchants (and its copy), since as far i know most monsters don't have enchantments or at least not many, making them have a very limited use as far as a curse build.
All previous posters thank you, you have been a lot of help to me! uber rare smiley

all of this is going to depend on how you choose to play.... if your going to be sacrificeing health with your builds - I.E. OoU + BoTM then the major will be better IMO - the lower your health is, the less of it you sac at anyone time.
i don't think the inscriptions you get on the armor is going to matter any.. i have two set, one with MM inscriptions for +armor, and one for +E for hexing - but going with just the +e is fine as well.
to get 18 curse, they are useing awaken the blood, which increase's blood and curse attributes... technicly you can get up to 19 by also useing a golden egg from the easter drops.
<edit> i forgot to say what i wanted to when i started this reply -- don't let the health cost ofthe runes decide which you get.. with necro's you generaly max SR, and then 1 other attribute - 13 SR is right about where we end up, so if all you plan on useing is skills from 1 necro attribute then the minor will be fine.... if you want to put enough points into a secondary attribute to make it effective, and still have 13 sr, then boost it to 11 naturally and go with the major.

yes will need the 2 sups to run both curses and death. but cookie cutter MM is not really thier anymore. need all 3 campaigns to run them to max, but prof and factions for sure, factions for the golem, and prof for everything else.
use infuse conditions and dark bond for your healing, as long as not in a stripper group you will do fine for fights, I will lead before letting a tank do it, they just dont hurt me, and let the 10 pets do the grinding and let tank go kill the dang pesky monks.
once the monk is dead a tank and ele will clean up rest rather fast and the MM will colect new players for him. and repeat till all done.
SS I run desecrat and defile enchants with SS and reckless haste, thats the 4 main skills then echo ss if want.
there is my 2 cents hehe

I do have all 3 campaigns, ok im probably gonna go with major since i should be out of the aggro if everything goes right, and besides the 35 health wont save me either way, what with my skimpy 60al
edit: should i also go minor in blood since i see most necro builds have some sort of blood skills in them
thanks for your advice guys

It depends on your build. I know I use blood skills in both my MM for Dark Bond and SS builds. It would be best to just put the Minor Blood Rune on gloves or boots and get two pairs, one with a blood rune and one with a rune of attunement or vitae.

I actually run Superior Death and Superior Soul Reaping for MM'ing.
With Dark Bond and a cover enchantment, dying is kind of hard even with -100hp. And lower health allows me to keep Order of Undeath on more often for insane damage.
For non-MM's, though, one superior is usually all you can afford to take.

Never run a Superior with a Major.
A minor does fine.
Desecrate and Defile are 2 "nearby" AoE armour ignoring spells with a relatively low recharge.
Also consider there are quite a few dervish mobs in NF that stack enchantments, as do margonites.

The breakpoint to get 9 energy out of [skill]signet of lost souls[/skill] is 13 soul reaping.
Use a minor.
